Mediation & Arbitration
A construction dispute costs more than money. It stalls projects, strains working relationships, and pulls people away from the work. Nevada Construction Mediation Services resolves these disputes efficiently, fairly and decisively, so projects can move forward.
Nevada Construction Mediation Services is Leon F. Mead II's mediation and arbitration practice and is a division of Mead Law Group. Leon is a construction lawyer and mediator with more than 35 years of experience; over three decades of it focused on Nevada's construction law and industry. Leon has taken part in hundreds of mediations and arbitrations over his career, holds a mediator training certificate from the National Judicial College, and he wrote Nevada Construction Law, the treatise that Nevada lawyers and courts rely on. When the parties sit down with him, they don't have to spend the first day explaining how a job site, a pay application, or a lien works.
We provide:
- Mediation of construction disputes, from single-issue payment claims to complex multi-party cases
- Arbitration, as a sole arbitrator or panel member
- Neutral case management and early evaluation, to help parties understand a dispute's strengths and costs before positions harden
Our clients include business owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, and their counsel. We handle disputes on projects throughout Nevada, for parties based anywhere in the country.
A true neutral. When Leon serves as a mediator or arbitrator, he does not represent any party or give legal advice to anyone in the dispute. We encourage each party to have its own counsel. Before accepting any engagement, we run a conflict check and disclose any prior relationship with the parties, their counsel or the project, so everyone can go forward with confidence.
